Council Officers have received requests to address ongoing concerns of moving vehicles coming into contact with parked vehicles on Tinakori Road, between Hobson Street and Cottleville Terrace.
On this section of Tinakori Road there is a combination of parking restrictions which permits on-street parking. These high demand parking spaces are situated where high volumes of traffic drive through a narrowing street, increasing the likelihood of conflict with parked cars and moving traffic.
The purpose of this resolution is to reallocate the existing parking restrictions to minimise potential conflict between vehicles which accompanies the construction of layby parking on the western side of Tinakori Road.
Please note: The current parking resolutions will remain in place (legal/enforcement) until the new restrictions with the appropriate signs and markings are introduced.
