The Ministry Of Education (Te Tahuhu O Te Matauranga) made a letterbox drop of a letter dated 6 January 2025.
It alerted residents in the vicinity that trees (unspecified) are being removed from Wellington Girls’ College.

A TRA inquiry revealed the trees are situated on the boundary with Moturoa St.
The tree removal is to allow installation of a court cover.

Removal is scheduled for the week of 13 January 2025.
Construction is planned to be completed by the end of April 2025.
