Roadworks update – Tinakori Road/Thorndon Quay/Hutt Road

This is a reminder notice of upcoming night works to surface and line mark the road at the intersection of Tinakori Road and Thorndon Quay.

We informed you in the first notification letter that there would be a road closure for the lower section of Tinakori Road to complete surfacing due to this road being too narrow to safely carry out a stop/go operation. The surfacing of Tinakori Road will take place over two nights on

Tuesday 25^th and Wednesday 26^th March.

There will be detours in place for road users wishing to use Tinakori Road during the evening. For traffic wanting to enter Tinakori Road from Thorndon Quay, the detour is via Davis St and

Hobson St. For traffic wanting to exit Tinakori Road, the detour is via Murphy St and Mulgrave St.

How this affects you

Night works to begin Tuesday 25^th March
We expect these night works to take 1 to 2 weeks (depending on unforeseen ground conditions and weather)
This work will all be done on night shift between 7pm and 30am.
Access to buildings will be always available
During the surfacing work the lower section of Tinakori Road between Thorndon Quay and Cottleville Terrace will be closed for two nights for surfacing. Please see map overleaf for detour route
The Tinakori Road closure will be taking place from 7pm to 5:30am on the 25^th and 26^th of March
