As part of the Thorndon Quay, Downer have been upgrading the intersection at Tinakori Road and Thorndon Quay to be a signalised intersection with traffic lights. As day works are almost finished, there are final night works to complete construction in the area.
These works in clude surfacing, line marking and the installation of the cycleway. Included in the surfacing work is the lower section of Tinakori Road. To complete this section there will be a road closure for two nights. The road closure is required as this road is too narrow to safely carry out a stop/go arrangement.
