Road stopping proposal adjoining 19-24 Turnbull Street, Thorndon

Excerpt from Letter to Thorndon Residents Assn 21 Aug 2018 – from Property Services, Wellington City Council

Council has received an application from the owners of 16-24 Turnbull Street, Thorndon (MOE —Thorndon School) to purchase a 142 m² area of road land adjoining their property and in exchange transfer 22m² to Council and build a vehicle turning area for Turnbull Street.

The basic details of the road stopping proposal are to stop and sell the 142 sq m area of road land highlighted orange on the attached aerial and Section 1 SO Plan 524745 to MOE for amalgamation with their school property existing title. In return Council will receive Section 2 SO 524745 and MOE will construct a vehicle turning area to Council code of practice standards.
